I love you and will miss you Granny.

A little before 8:00 a.m. this morning, my beloved Granny left this world peacefully. I'm posting this so that all of my great friends over the years will know.

Everyone knew her as "Granny". She was the woman who loved me unconditionally. The woman who taught me respect. The woman who showed me that there's always a reason to smile and laugh, even in her last moments. The woman who took me to see Star Wars 11 times (yes, 11 times!). The woman who gave me all that I needed, when I needed it, and yet never asked for anything in return. The woman who left little notes on napkins in my lunch everyday in elementary school. The woman who told everyone "I love you", even her nurses whom she only knew briefly. A woman who gave me comfort when I needed it most. In all, she is an angel that was placed on this Earth who helped make me the man I am today.

Granny, I can't even put into words how much I love you and will miss you! You will always be with me. And I will always strive to be like you and make you proud. Thank you for everything, Granny! I love you.

Granny was truely a woman of God and I learned much from her of true faith and values. One of my most vivid memories of my granmother is when I was a very young boy and would have the opportunity to spend some of the summer with her. Granny would take us to the fire department along with a man we refered to as uncle Teddybear. Uncle Teadybear was mentally handicaped and my grandmother treated him with much respect and dignity in spite of his child like behaviors. From this I have learned and beleive that all of Gods people should be treated with care and respect. Granny was a prayer warrior and I know that she has kept me in prayer every day. I have taken much comfort in knowing she was praying for me. I know that Granny is now with the Lord and I will see her again when my time here is through......I Love you Granny

Your words so very true Lance. You were the "Apple of her Eye." She loved so dearly and I know she is now watching from above. I know during my own illnesses, Granny put in a lot of pray time for me and always made sure she was informed on how I was doing. I didn't get to see Granny into my adulthood, but I still remember when I was a very young child how much I Loved to watch her brush her so verrrry long hair. I thought it was so beautiful. That is when she lived next to Uncle TeddyBear and his dog named snowball. It's strange the memories we do hold onto even as such a young child I was. I remember her holding me and teaching me about the big gas furnace she had and how it was hot....But, her hair, I can still picture her brushing it like it was yesterday.
She was your "Angel" on earth and now she will be your "Angel" from above.
Love you, Your Cousin, Terry
